About Akoofy

Akoofy is a platform for free, bite-sized audiobooks covering every kind of knowledge — history, science, biographies, ideas. Each episode runs about ten to twenty minutes and is built to sound like a good story, not a lecture.
How each episode gets made
Every script is carefully fact-checked and verified before it ever reaches your ears — every book comes with its sources listed right on its page, because trust is the whole foundation of what we're building. The narration is designed to sound natural and warm, like someone telling you a story by candlelight.
Greece first, then the world
We started with Greek history and current affairs, because the Greek language deserved a platform built for it, not a translation from somewhere else. English-speaking listeners get the same books, adapted — not just translated — into English.
Accessibility isn't optional
Akoofy is built from day one to work for everyone: full keyboard navigation, screen-reader labels, a full transcript for every episode, dark and light themes both given equal care. If something doesn't work for you, we want to know.
